Agile Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Agile Project Manager based in Brazil.

This is an opportunity to lead complex web and software delivery projects for industry-leading clients in a fully distributed environment.

You will combine project management expertise with Scrum Master practices to guide teams toward high-quality outcomes.

The role sits at the intersection of technology, business, and client engagement, requiring strong communication and facilitation skills.

You will translate client vision into clear priorities while managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and expectations.

You will empower cross-functional teams to self-organize, take ownership, solve problems, and continuously improve.

The position offers exposure to international clients and diverse teams working across the Americas.

Accountabilities

• Apply project management best practices and Agile/Scrum principles to support effective delivery processes.
• Partner with client stakeholders and Product Owners to understand, communicate, and maintain visibility of the product vision.
• Facilitate clear communication among developers, testers, clients, Product Owners, and stakeholders at different organizational levels.
• Foster team self-organization, accountability, ownership, and commitment throughout delivery cycles.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, priorities, and stakeholder expectations while maintaining a high-quality delivery experience.
• Organize project needs, concerns, and objectives into an evolving delivery plan that creates clarity and reduces complexity.
• Facilitate discussions and ceremonies for both co-located and distributed teams, ensuring alignment and effective decision-making.
• Provide servant leadership to development teams while encouraging continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainable delivery practices.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and internal team members throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to the Agile and Project Management community by sharing knowledge and staying current with emerging practices and trends.
• Lead as an essential member of a diverse, distributed Delivery Team focused on creating high-quality software products and strong user experiences.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager and/or Program Manager, preferably managing teams of developers and testers.
• Previous experience as a Scrum Master working with both IT and business stakeholders.
• Experience with website, mobile application, or custom software development projects.
• Strong knowledge of Project Management best practices and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent accountability, communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders across different organizational levels.
• Ability to independently manage responsibilities and make sound decisions without close supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate conversations and collaboration across distributed and virtual teams.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand software development environments and delivery challenges.
• Ability to turn complex project requirements, concerns, and objectives into clear and actionable plans.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term delivery priorities with long-term product and business outcomes.
• Servant-leadership approach, with a strong focus on empowering teams and driving continuous improvement.
• Professional English proficiency is required.
• Experience working with US-based companies is highly valued.
• Scrum Master certification is a plus.
• Experience working successfully within distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with application lifecycle management and project management tools such as JIRA is preferred.
