AI Automation Engineer (FitMe)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Automation Engineer (FitMe) based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to build intelligent automation systems that streamline creative production, user acquisition, and campaign management for a fast-growing fitness product. You will combine JavaScript/Node.js development, low-code automation, APIs, and LLM technologies to turn manual processes into scalable workflows. Working closely with UA managers, creative producers, and designers, you will solve operational challenges through practical technical solutions. You will also help introduce AI-powered tools that enable non-technical teams to work more independently. The role combines hands-on engineering with experimentation, optimization, and continuous improvement. You will have significant ownership across the full lifecycle, from understanding requirements and selecting an approach to deployment and ongoing support.

Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain automated creative-production workflows, including creative variations, localization, resizing, static assets, and video formats.
• Build systems that analyze competitors’ creatives to identify high-performing content, emerging trends, and relevant topics.
• Partner with user acquisition managers, creative producers, and designers to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Develop automated campaign-launch capabilities across advertising platforms such as AppLovin, Meta, and TikTok.
• Build recommendation systems and automated campaign-management workflows that support more effective marketing decisions.
• Implement AI-powered tools that allow non-technical team members to independently access and use automation capabilities.
• Maintain and improve existing Airtable scripts, n8n workflows, and integrations with services such as Meta, AppLovin, Google Drive, and Slack.
• Integrate LLMs and third-party services into reliable, scalable automation pipelines.
• Ensure automations are transparent and easy to monitor through clear statuses, logs, alerts, and actionable error reporting.
• Take ownership of the complete automation lifecycle, from understanding business needs and selecting technical approaches through launch, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of commercial experience developing with JavaScript and Node.js.
• Strong experience working with REST APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Hands-on experience with a low-code automation platform such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or a comparable solution.
• Experience using Airtable or a similar low-code database platform.
• Practical experience integrating LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, or comparable models into automated workflows.
• Good understanding of how to design reliable, maintainable automation pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership from understanding a task through technical implementation, deployment, and support.
• Experience automating creative production, including content generation, localization, resizing, rendering, or creative variations, is a plus.
• Familiarity with advertising APIs such as Meta Marketing API, AppLovin, TikTok, or Google Ads is advantageous.
• Experience with media-processing tools such as FFmpeg or After Effects is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI-powered image and video generation, dubbing, speech synthesis, recognition, or translation services is beneficial.
• Understanding of user acquisition and mobile marketing metrics such as CPA, ROI, and LTV is an advantage.
