This role combines AI engineering, consulting, and technical leadership to help organizations turn complex business challenges into practical technology solutions.
You will work directly with clients to assess AI readiness, identify opportunities, and shape strategies aligned with their business objectives.
The position covers the full solution lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through implementation and delivery.
You will design scalable solutions spanning artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and generative AI.
Your expertise will help clients integrate modern AI capabilities with enterprise systems, data platforms, and business processes.
You will also advise stakeholders on responsible AI, governance, security, and risk management to support sustainable adoption.
This part-time opportunity offers a client-facing environment where you can contribute to innovative solutions, reusable AI capabilities, and thought leadership while working an average of no more than 30 hours per week.
Accountabilities
- Partner with clients to assess AI readiness, identify high-value business opportunities, and develop practical AI strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead discovery, solution architecture, design, and implementation activities to deliver AI-enabled solutions that generate measurable business outcomes.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and generative AI solutions addressing complex client challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate AI capabilities with enterprise applications, data platforms, and existing business processes.
- Advise clients and stakeholders on AI governance, security, compliance, risk management, and responsible AI practices to support sustainable technology adoption.
- Lead or contribute to client engagements throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining delivery quality, stakeholder alignment, project momentum, and client satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development of AI methodologies, service offerings, reusable technical assets, frameworks, and thought leadership that strengthen organizational capabilities.
- Support business development activities through client presentations, solution demonstrations, proposal development, technical discussions, and relationship building.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across AI engineering initiatives while helping teams adopt effective development and implementation practices.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and capabilities and identify opportunities to apply innovation to client challenges and business processes.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- 3-7+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, AI engineering, machine learning, analytics, or a comparable technical discipline is required.
- Demonstrated experience delivering technology consulting services or client-facing technical solutions is required.
- Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, machine learning concepts, and modern AI technologies.
- Hands-on experience developing applications using Python, SQL, and modern Application Programming Interface (API) frameworks.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, is required.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business challenges into practical AI, automation, and data-driven solutions with measurable outcomes.
- Strong consulting, facilitation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to establish credibility as a trusted technical advisor.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable solutions that integrate with enterprise systems, data platforms, and business processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to evaluate complex technical and business challenges.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AI governance, security, compliance, risk management, and responsible AI practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams while influencing decisions and driving successful client outcomes.
- Strong adaptability and willingness to continuously learn emerging technologies and apply new capabilities to solve evolving client challenges.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a client-focused, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in a part-time capacity averaging no more than 30 hours per week.
- Estimated hourly compensation of $51-$69 per hour.
