Analista de Sistemas – IBM MQ e WebSphere

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analista de Sistemas - IBM MQ e WebSphere based in Brazil.

This role is focused on the administration, support, and automation of critical enterprise middleware environments.

You will work extensively with IBM MQ and WebSphere Network Deployment, helping maintain highly available and reliable application platforms.

The position combines infrastructure automation, scripting, containerization, monitoring, and troubleshooting across complex IT environments.

You will collaborate with technical teams to diagnose Java EE application issues and improve operational efficiency.

Automation is a key part of the role, with opportunities to leverage Ansible, Puppet, Shell, Python, PowerShell, and Jython.

You will contribute to resilient technology operations through effective monitoring, version control, and structured problem solving.

Accountabilities:

• Install, configure, administer, maintain, and support IBM MQ environments and WebSphere Network Deployment cells.
• Support critical application environments, with a strong focus on availability, stability, performance, and operational continuity.
• Automate infrastructure and configuration-management processes using tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
• Develop and maintain Shell Script automation routines to improve operational efficiency.
• Configure and automate WebSphere cells through wsadmin using Jython scripting.
• Develop and maintain automation routines using PowerShell or Python.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues affecting Java EE applications and their supporting environments.
• Analyze application and infrastructure logs using monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk or Elastic Stack.
• Administer containerized environments using Docker or Podman, including creating and maintaining Dockerfiles.
• Use Git for source-code versioning and collaborative development, including command-line operations such as commit, pull, and push.
• Support incident investigation and resolution within high-availability enterprise environments.
• Apply structured IT service-management and operational practices to maintain reliable technology services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field, or another higher-education qualification combined with a postgraduate degree in IT.
• Proven experience automating infrastructure processes or managing configurations using Puppet, Ansible, or equivalent technologies within large-scale, high-availability environments.
• Hands-on experience with Shell Script and Ansible automation.
• Experience working with YAML, JSON, and REST APIs.
• Practical experience with Git, including command-line operations such as commit, pull, and push.
• Experience with Docker or Podman and Dockerfile development.
• Experience using PowerShell or Python for automation and scripting.
• Experience with Puppet, Jython Scripting, and WebSphere wsadmin.
• Experience with Splunk, Elastic Stack, or comparable log-analysis and observability platforms.
• Experience installing and administering IBM MQ environments.
• Experience installing and administering WebSphere Network Deployment cells.
• Proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and determine root causes of issues in Java EE applications.
• ITIL Foundation v3 or higher certification or equivalent documented training.
• Technical English proficiency sufficient to read IT articles and technical documentation and communicate in writing with technology vendors when opening support cases.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work effectively in complex and high-availability environments.
• Dynatrace or equivalent Application Performance Monitoring (APM) experience is preferred.
• Experience operating these environments on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is preferred.
