This is a senior infrastructure role focused on the stability, performance, and evolution of virtualized environments. You will contribute to the design, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure supporting critical technology operations. The position combines virtualization expertise with cloud infrastructure knowledge, including compute, networking, and storage. You will work in a hybrid environment alongside technology and infrastructure teams, helping ensure reliable and scalable services. Your technical expertise will be important in maintaining resilient environments and supporting infrastructure modernization. This opportunity is suited to an experienced professional who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and working with enterprise virtualization technologies

Accountabilities:

• Manage, maintain, and continuously improve infrastructure within virtualized environments, ensuring availability, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Support the administration and evolution of virtualization platforms and associated infrastructure components.
• Provision and manage cloud computing resources, virtual networks, and cloud storage according to business and technical requirements.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and improvements involving virtualization and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Apply established infrastructure, security, availability, and operational best practices across virtualized and cloud environments.
• Support documentation and standardization of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and operational processes.

Requirements:

• Professional experience working with infrastructure in virtualized environments.
• Completed higher education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; alternatively, a completed degree in another field combined with a completed postgraduate qualification in Information Technology of at least 360 hours.
• Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including provisioning of compute resources, virtual networks, and cloud storage.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure concepts, virtualization, networking, storage, and systems administration.
• Official VMware Certified Professional 6 (VCP6) certification or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve infrastructure issues independently.
• Ability to work collaboratively with infrastructure and technology teams in a hybrid environment.
• Good organization, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to follow technical procedures while also identifying opportunities for infrastructure improvement and optimization.
• Availability to work 8 hours per day under a hybrid work model.
