Profile match
Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analyst, Data Governance based in Canada.

This role focuses on strengthening data quality, governance, and trust across a large, complex organization.

You’ll help establish standards, controls, and monitoring practices for critical data assets used across the business.

Working with both business and technical stakeholders, you’ll investigate data issues, identify root causes, and drive practical improvements.

The position combines hands-on data analysis with metadata management, reporting, documentation, and governance initiatives.

You’ll use modern analytical and data-management tools to turn complex datasets into actionable insights and measurable outcomes.

Your work will help improve data integrity, consistency, transparency, and decision-making across teams.

This is an opportunity to build expertise in a collaborative, cross-functional environment while helping mature enterprise data practices.

Accountabilities

    • Develop and maintain data quality KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, and governance maturity assessments to monitor the health of critical data assets.
    • Design and implement data quality solutions, including data profiling, business rules, root-cause analysis, monitoring controls, and exception-management processes.
    • Analyze data health and trends, identify quality risks, and recommend preventive and corrective actions to improve data integrity.
    • Partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Category Managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to investigate and resolve data quality issues.
    • Gather, document, and maintain business metadata, business glossaries, data definitions, and data quality requirements.
    • Manage and enhance metadata repositories and data catalog content, ensuring information remains accurate, complete, and up to date.
    • Develop and maintain data governance artifacts, including policies, standards, procedures, and supporting documentation.
    • Identify, classify, and govern critical, sensitive, and consent-related data elements across the organization.
    • Document and maintain data lineage, data flows, business processes, and Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
    • Use SQL, Python, Tableau, Cognos, Excel, and other analytical technologies to extract, analyze, monitor, and report on data quality.
    • Develop and automate reporting and monitoring solutions that support governance objectives and broader business priorities.
    • Promote data ownership, metadata management, data literacy, and governance best practices through stakeholder engagement, training, and communication.
    • Provide data governance and data quality expertise throughout project planning, solution design, and implementation activities.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
      • At least 3 years of experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality, or a related discipline.
      • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting data governance frameworks, processes, standards, and documentation.
      • Experience developing data models, business process models, relationship diagrams, and data lineage documentation.
      • Hands-on experience with metadata management and data catalog platforms such as Alation or comparable tools.
      • Strong experience with Tableau and advanced Microsoft Excel.
      • Practical experience with SQL and data analysis tools, with the ability to work effectively with large and complex datasets.
      • Experience developing reporting and analytics solutions using Tableau, Cognos, Python, Excel, or similar technologies.
