Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) based in United States.

This is a broad commercial leadership role focused on driving revenue growth across a comprehensive portfolio of video game development and production services in North America.

You will be responsible for both winning new clients and expanding strategic relationships with existing game developers, publishers, and interactive entertainment companies.

The role requires a consultative approach, combining market knowledge, client discovery, solution development, and relationship management across multiple service lines.

You will represent capabilities spanning game development and co-development, art, audio, Quality Assurance (QA), localization, Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), and player support.

You will partner closely with delivery, service-line, and commercial teams to develop integrated solutions, proposals, pricing, and scopes of work tailored to client needs.

As a key commercial contact for assigned accounts, you will build a qualified pipeline, manage complex sales cycles, and turn market intelligence into actionable growth opportunities.

This is an ideal opportunity for a passionate games industry professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and enjoys building long-term partnerships.

Accountabilities

    • Drive sustainable revenue growth across assigned North American accounts and markets by balancing new client acquisition with expansion of existing customer relationships.
    • Identify, develop, qualify, and close new business opportunities with game developers, publishers, studios, and other interactive entertainment organizations.
    • Own and grow a portfolio of existing client relationships by developing a deep understanding of their businesses, production roadmaps, challenges, priorities, and evolving needs.
    • Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships through cross-selling, additional service lines, new projects, and relationships with additional teams, studios, and decision-makers.
    • Develop and execute strategic account plans designed to create long-term, multi-service partnerships and sustainable commercial growth.
    • Monitor industry activity, game production trends, emerging technologies, and changing client needs to identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
    • Build market presence across the assigned North American territory through targeted prospecting, relationship development, industry networking, and ongoing market intelligence.
    • Position the organization as a strategic partner capable of supporting clients across multiple stages of the game development and production lifecycle.
    • Lead client discovery conversations to understand business objectives, production requirements, timelines, budgets, and commercial priorities.
    • Work with service-line experts and delivery teams to develop tailored solutions, proposals, pricing structures, and scopes of work that address client requirements.
    • Take a consultative approach to uncovering additional opportunities and demonstrating how multiple services can create greater value for clients.
    • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned accounts and coordinate the involvement of appropriate internal specialists as opportunities progress.
    • Collaborate closely with delivery teams, service-line experts, and commercial colleagues to develop integrated solutions and ensure alignment between client expectations and proposed services.
    • Share client feedback, market intelligence, competitive insights, and emerging opportunities with relevant internal teams to inform commercial and strategic decisions.
    • Own individual revenue and business development targets across assigned accounts and markets.
    • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities, manage sales forecasting, and ensure accurate and timely Customer Relationship Management (CRM) records.
    • Regularly review account strategies, pipeline development, forecasts, and commercial performance with leadership.
    • Requirements

      • Bring at least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or operations within the video games or entertainment industry.
      • Demonstrate a proven track record of managing client relationships and successfully closing deals in creative, technical, or service-oriented environments.
      • Possess a strong understanding of video game development and production workflows, with familiarity across areas such as game development, art, audio, Quality Assurance (QA), localization, Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), and player support.
      • Demonstrate the ability to identify opportunities across multiple service lines and position a broad portfolio of capabilities as an integrated solution for clients.
      • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with producers, development leaders, operations managers, executives, and other decision-makers.
      • Be proficient with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
      • Demonstrate strong self-management, organization, and follow-through, with the ability to manage complex sales cycles and client relationships from initial prospecting through close and ongoing growth.
      • Bring strong commercial judgment and a consultative approach to client discovery, solution development, negotiation, and account expansion.
      • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with technical, creative, delivery, and commercial stakeholders.
      • Have a genuine passion for video games and player experience.
      • Experience with player support is preferred but not essential.
      • An established network among producers, development leads, operations managers, or game developers across the Bay Area and broader North American market is advantageous.
