Profile match
Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Consultant Engineer III based in United States.

This is a senior consulting opportunity focused on operational technology systems supporting the evolving energy and power sector.

You will provide technical leadership across SCADA, EMS, and ADMS integration, maintenance, migration, and enhancement projects.

The role combines hands-on engineering, client advisory, system testing, technical analysis, and project delivery.

You will work directly with utility clients to understand complex requirements and develop practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.

The position also offers opportunities to mentor junior consultants and contribute to broader business development initiatives.

You will join a globally distributed, collaborative environment that values autonomy, innovation, continuous learning, and work-life flexibility.

The role is ideal for an experienced OT professional with strong AspenTech/OSI Monarch expertise and a passion for modernizing energy systems.

Accountabilities

    • Provide technical consulting, integration, and project support for the installation, upgrade, migration, and maintenance of SCADA, Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS).

    • Work with clients to gather detailed functional and technical requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.

    • Support development of scripts for data conversion, system configuration, system operation, and testing.

    • Contribute to database modeling, display development, application configuration, and functional design for new and existing systems.

    • Plan and execute system integration and functionality testing, including FAT, SAT, and UAT, while documenting and communicating test results to clients and vendors.

    • Diagnose system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with customers, vendors, and engineering teams to resolve technical problems.

    • Advise clients on SCADA, EMS, and ADMS lifecycle strategies, operational improvements, maintenance planning, and tactical technology decisions.

    • Develop methodologies, project plans, technical estimates, reports, and other client-facing deliverables while maintaining project scope, budget, timelines, and quality standards.

    • Manage assigned project deliverables and hours, monitor progress, and maintain regular communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

    • Collaborate with globally distributed colleagues to coordinate project activities and deliver consistent consulting services.

    • Contribute to proposals, case studies, project documentation, and other business development materials.

    • Identify potential client challenges and business opportunities and communicate them to management.

    • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the development of technical capabilities across the team.

    • Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, or comparable professional experience and demonstrated technical capability.

      • At least 5 years of experience working with SCADA, EMS, or ADMS, particularly in IT/OT projects involving system delivery and integration for utility clients.

      • Strong AspenTech/OSI Monarch EMS & ADMS experience is required to be considered.

      • Experience with Monarch advanced applications and capabilities such as network modeling, contingency planning, power-flow analysis, Automatic Generation Control, Volt/VAR optimization, continuous voltage regulation, fault location and restoration, and outage management.

      • Experience executing end-to-end vendor functionality and system integration testing, including FAT, SAT, and UAT.

      • Strong understanding of operational technology solutions and utility industry systems, processes, and regulations.

      • Experience with testing and defect-management tools such as HPQC, Jira, or qTest.

      • Proficiency with EMS modeling and display-building tools and relevant domains including SCADA, generation, network operations, and dispatcher/operator training simulators.

      • Experience with modern programming or scripting languages and SQL relational databases.

      • Strong technical knowledge of virtualization environments, Windows Server, Windows desktop, and Linux.

      • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and deliver smaller projects with limited supervision.

      • Strong project organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines while managing client expectations.

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation and deliver effective presentations.

      • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, initiative, self-motivation, and willingness to continuously develop technical expertise.

      • Ability to build productive relationships with clients, project teams, and globally distributed colleagues.

      • U.S. or Canadian citizenship or valid work authorization required.

      • Willingness to travel occasionally and work evenings or weekends when required for consulting engagements or business development activities.

      • Benefits

        • Estimated annual salary range of $105,000-$148,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, and individual circumstances.

        • Eligibility to participate in a profit-sharing program, subject to applicable program rules and individual and organizational performance.

        • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for U.S.-based employees.

        • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.

        • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.

        • Basic life insurance and well-being benefits.

        • 10 scheduled paid holidays per calendar year.

        • 10 days of paid sick leave per year.

        • Up to 15 days of accrued paid vacation for regular full-time employees.

        • Fully remote working environment with flexibility and autonomy.

        • Opportunities for technical development, leadership growth, mentoring, and exposure to diverse energy-sector projects.

        • Support for continuing education, including potential reimbursement of eligible course fees up to $5,000 per year.

        • Collaborative international environment focused on innovation, professional growth, and meaningful contributions to the energy transition.
