Accountabilities:
As a Corporate Development Director, you will lead strategic growth initiatives, including partnerships, investments, and mergers and acquisitions. You will act as a strategic advisor to leadership teams, translating market opportunities into actionable plans and driving execution across complex, high-value initiatives.
- Source, evaluate, and lead strategic partnerships, investments, and business development opportunities that support long-term growth objectives.
- Manage end-to-end M&A processes, including opportunity identification, due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring, negotiation, and integration planning.
- Develop financial models, valuation analyses, and scenario assessments to support investment and strategic decisions.
- Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including strategic alliances, technology partnerships, and joint ventures.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with industry partners, ecosystem stakeholders, and strategic organizations.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities, risks, and industry trends.
- Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership by transforming complex information into clear insights and actionable decisions.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Legal, Product, Engineering, Operations, and other teams to execute strategic initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, transaction materials, and strategic documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support long-term corporate strategy development and planning through data-driven analysis and market intelligence.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in corporate development, investment strategy, and complex transaction execution, combined with strong business judgment and the ability to operate in high-growth environments.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, JD, or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, or related fields.
- Proven experience leading complex M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, investments, or corporate development initiatives from evaluation through execution.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, transaction structuring, and investment analysis.
- Experience working within defense, aerospace, advanced technology, AI, autonomy, robotics, software, or other technology-driven industries preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and provide strategic guidance in ambiguous and high-stakes environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex analyses clearly to executive and board-level audiences.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Highly autonomous and proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience working in an internal corporate development function is strongly preferred.
