This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor SQL PL - Serviços based in Brazil.

This is a fully remote software development opportunity within a technology-driven environment serving the insurance sector.

You will develop new functionality, enhance existing systems, and contribute directly to solutions that address client needs and business priorities.

The role combines hands-on SQL development with technical ownership, code quality, testing, documentation, and production support.

You will collaborate closely with business analysts, product teams, leadership, quality teams, and fellow developers.

There is also an opportunity to guide other developers, participate in architectural and technical decisions, and promote development best practices.

Your work will have a direct impact on system reliability, project delivery, and the experience of clients using critical insurance solutions.

Accountabilities

• Develop new system functionality and modify existing features according to project requirements, budgets, technical standards, and business priorities.
• Analyze functional specifications, identify gaps or opportunities for improvement, and recommend implementation approaches that maximize client value while minimizing system impact.
• Define technical requirements and guide other developers in their execution, ensuring compliance with governance standards and development best practices.
• Validate development estimates and budgets with senior business analysts or leadership and help distribute development activities across the team.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring solutions meet technical requirements, governance standards, quality expectations, and established development practices.
• Provide production support by correcting program and component errors, creating database adjustment scripts, and assessing the potential operational impact of issues.
• Collaborate with leadership on project planning, technical solutions, prioritization, timelines, and customer commitments.
• Develop unit tests and TDDs, perform code refactoring, and identify opportunities to improve maintainability and system quality.
• Generate technical documentation and development evidence, supporting quality assurance and final project validation.
• Assist with acceptance testing and recommend additional test scenarios when changes may have broader impacts beyond the original functional specification.
• Support system and module deployments, including defining appropriate implementation approaches, data migration processes, system versions, and required configurations.
• Provide technical guidance and training to new developers on development tools, practices, and processes.

Requirements

• Higher education currently in progress in Technology or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of programming logic and software development fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and practical experience working with databases and SQL-based development.
• Strong familiarity with Visual Studio as a development environment.
• Knowledge of C# is desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to understand complex requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Proactive, collaborative, and accountable approach, with a willingness to share ideas and support teammates.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Interest in code quality, testing, refactoring, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• English proficiency is considered a plus.
• Ability to work remotely with autonomy while maintaining effective collaboration with distributed teams.
