This is an opportunity for a senior backend developer to build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using Java and modern cloud-native technologies.

You will work on REST services, microservices, distributed architectures, and integrations that support critical business applications.

The role involves applying strong software engineering practices, design patterns, and object-oriented programming to deliver robust solutions.

You will contribute to integrations with Kafka while leveraging Kubernetes and Spring Cloud across development and production environments.

Collaboration is central to the role, with opportunities to participate in product conception and technical decision-making.

You will also help ensure high standards of code quality, security, testing, and maintainability.

Accountabilities:

• Develop scalable backend solutions in Java, applying object-oriented programming, Design Patterns, and established software engineering practices.
• Build and maintain REST applications and services, implementing business rules according to functional and technical requirements.
• Design and evolve solutions using microservices and distributed architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Work with Kubernetes and Spring Cloud throughout the development and support lifecycle.
• Implement and maintain integrations with Apache Kafka and other systems or data sources.
• Apply unit testing and other quality practices to improve software reliability and maintainability.
• Process information efficiently and expose data through backend services for consumption by front-end applications.
• Apply secure software development principles and technical standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during product conception, solution design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to technical decisions and promote coding standards, best practices, and high-quality engineering practices.

Requirements:

• Proven professional experience developing applications with Java.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and backend application development.
• Solid understanding and practical application of object-oriented programming and Design Patterns.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and services.
• Knowledge of software architecture, development best practices, and scalable solution design.
• Experience with unit testing, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Spring Cloud.
• Experience implementing integrations using Kafka and event-driven technologies.
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices.
• Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams during solution and product conception.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, Spring WebFlux, continuous integration, and automation is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and technical decision-making skills.
