This is a senior quality engineering and team leadership role focused on delivering reliable, high-quality healthcare technology solutions.
You’ll guide QA planning and execution across assigned product areas while helping establish strong testing standards and practices.
The role combines hands-on quality expertise with coaching, cross-functional collaboration, incident response, and process improvement.
You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, UI/UX, Delivery, and Support teams to turn customer and business needs into testable requirements.
A major focus will be strengthening automation, reducing escaped defects, and improving the efficiency and consistency of quality processes.
You’ll also play a key role in mentoring QA professionals, managing priorities, and driving continuous learning across the team.

Accountabilities
- Lead QA execution and planning across assigned projects, adapting priorities and resources as business and delivery needs evolve.
- Serve as the primary QA contributor and point of contact for assigned product areas, guiding test strategy, planning, reviews, and quality decisions.
- Assess team capabilities and partner with QA leadership on mentoring, professional development, performance feedback, and career growth.
- Collaborate with QA leadership to ensure appropriate team resourcing and effective delivery of project milestones.
- Translate business and customer needs into clear, actionable, and testable requirements in collaboration with Product, Engineering, UI/UX, and Delivery teams.
- Define, implement, and enforce QA practices and standards that promote consistent, reliable product quality.
- Participate actively in Sev-1 and Sev-2 incident war rooms, lead root-cause analysis using the 5 Whys methodology, and prioritize solutions that reduce escaped defects.
- Identify QA technical debt and continuous improvement opportunities, driving initiatives that strengthen testing effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Advocate for extensions and improvements to automation frameworks that increase efficiency within the quality management process.
- Troubleshoot automation scripts and surface issues to Software Engineering and Technology teams during feature development and regression testing.
- Drive innovation within QA processes by encouraging experimentation, new approaches, and the adoption of effective quality engineering patterns.
- Represent QA in cross-functional meetings, communicating project progress, risks, blockers, expectations, and quality considerations clearly.
- Maintain strong awareness of how QA outcomes affect broader business objectives and help the team understand the business impact of quality decisions.
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the QA organization and across functional teams.
- Stay current with emerging QA technologies, testing approaches, automation practices, and industry trends.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support business and product priorities.
- 7+ years of professional software quality assurance experience, with demonstrated expertise in modern QA practices.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or providing team guidance, with the ability to develop others and promote high performance.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright for test automation.
- Experience using Zephyr Scale or comparable test case management software.
- Strong working knowledge of JIRA for issue tracking and project collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent college education is preferred.
- Understanding of HIPAA privacy requirements and their relevance to healthcare technology is preferred.
- Experience working within a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) development environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of test strategy, test planning, regression testing, automation, defect prevention, and quality standards.
- Excellent analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and determine practical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, DevOps, UI/UX, Delivery, and Support teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, accountability, sound judgment, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment with significant computer-based work.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as required, with travel expected to remain below approximately 5%.
