Mid -Level QA Automation

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mid-Level QA Automation based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to strengthen software quality across web, mobile, and desktop applications in a collaborative and multicultural environment. You will design and execute comprehensive testing strategies while helping teams deliver reliable, high-performing products. The position combines hands-on functional, integration, regression, performance, API, and automated testing. You will work closely with developers and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Your expertise will help improve automation practices, testing processes, and overall product quality. Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications, ensuring functional requirements and quality standards are consistently validated.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to identify defects and verify that applications remain stable and reliable throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Playwright, Pytest, or equivalent technologies.
• Conduct backend and API testing to validate server-side components, API behavior, integrations, and application responses against expected requirements.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through appropriate bug-tracking systems, providing sufficient detail to support efficient investigation and resolution.
• Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, contributing to a shared culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Apply testing and quality assurance best practices while continuously improving automation strategies, test coverage, processes, and overall testing efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality is considered from requirements and development through release and maintenance.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in software quality assurance and automated testing, with practical proficiency in tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Postman, Cypress, or equivalent testing technologies.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile methodologies, with the ability to integrate quality practices into iterative development environments.
• Experience working with test case management and issue-tracking tools such as TestRail, Jira, or similar platforms, with strong discipline around test documentation and defect management.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar languages, particularly for developing and maintaining automated testing solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to identifying defects, investigating root causes, and determining effective testing strategies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, QA professionals, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Fluent English is mandatory, with the ability to communicate clearly in an international and multicultural working environment.
• Nice to have: Experience with CI/CD technologies and development tools such as Jenkins and Git, as well as familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms.
• Nice to have: Exposure to API testing and security testing, along with an ISTQB or other relevant quality assurance certification.
