This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Arquiteto(a) de Dados based in Brazil.

As a Senior Data Architect, you will define and evolve modern data architectures that connect business priorities, technology, and data strategy. You will design solutions that are scalable, secure, performant, governed, and sustainable across their full lifecycle. Working closely with Data Engineering, Development, Product, and Architecture teams, you will turn complex business requirements into practical technical solutions. You will influence technology choices, establish architectural standards, and ensure strong data quality and governance practices. The role also offers the opportunity to leverage cloud, automation, and AI to improve how data solutions are designed and delivered. You will join a collaborative, innovation-focused environment working on global data transformation and modernization initiatives.

Accountabilities:

• Design and evolve modern data architectures with a focus on scalability, performance, security, quality, governance, and cost efficiency.
• Translate complex business requirements into sustainable, scalable, and technically viable data solutions.
• Define architectural standards and patterns for data storage, processing, integration, and consumption.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms, and architectural approaches according to the specific requirements of each solution.
• Partner closely with Data Engineering, Development, Product, and Architecture teams to ensure solutions align with established architectural principles.
• Identify and resolve challenges related to data integration, quality, availability, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Oversee the data lifecycle from ingestion and processing through consumption, retention, and disposal.
• Establish and promote best practices for data architecture, governance, security, and operational excellence.
• Support initiatives involving AI and automation to increase productivity and efficiency in the development of data solutions.
• Contribute to technical decision-making, balancing quality, complexity, delivery timelines, scalability, and cost.
• Provide architectural guidance and communicate technical decisions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Help drive continuous modernization of data platforms and solutions using current cloud, data, and AI technologies.

Requirements:

• Solid professional experience in Data Architecture, including modern Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data architectures, particularly using AWS and/or Azure.
• Knowledge of Databricks, Apache Spark, or equivalent data processing technologies.
• Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Catalog, Metadata, Data Lineage, and Data Ownership.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy principles, including access control, encryption, and appropriate protection mechanisms.
• Experience addressing data performance, scalability, availability, and observability requirements.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and automation practices applied to data solutions.
• Strong systems-thinking and architectural reasoning skills, with the ability to transform complex problems into clear and actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• High degree of autonomy, ownership, pragmatism, and influence when making architectural decisions.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities, delivery constraints, cost, and long-term sustainability.
• Experience with global transformation, cloud modernization, Data, or AI initiatives is an advantage.
