Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer based in United States.

The Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer is a senior technical role combining pre-sales expertise with post-sales customer ownership across a broad cybersecurity portfolio. You will support U.S. State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) and Education (SLED) customers from technical discovery and solution design through onboarding, adoption, issue resolution, and expansion. Acting as a cybersecurity subject matter expert, you will work closely with sales and technical account teams to deliver trusted, outcome-focused solutions. The role also offers significant influence through technical mentoring, enablement, and development of best practices. You will engage directly with customers while translating field insights into meaningful product and business decisions. This is an opportunity to shape technical standards while helping public-sector organizations strengthen their security posture

Accountabilities:

    • Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the technical SME across managed detection and response, extended detection and response, DNS-layer security, network monitoring, hardened cloud images, secure software and infrastructure offerings, networking, and cloud security.
    • Pre-Sales and Post-Sales Engineering: Lead technical discovery, solution design, demonstrations, proofs of concept, onboarding, deployment guidance, escalations, and issue resolution through full closure.
    • Customer Onboarding: Own the technical onboarding experience for assigned accounts, helping accelerate time to value, support customer satisfaction, and protect revenue recognition.
    • Government Sales Support: Partner with Services Account Executives throughout the U.S. government sales cycle, including procurement processes, security reviews, technical evaluations, and deal closure.
    • Customer Lifecycle Management: Work within the CSE/TAM operating model to provide a seamless technical experience from pre-sales through onboarding, adoption, renewal, and expansion.
    • Technical Customer Engagement: Maintain proactive, real-time communication through phone, video, and in-person meetings as needed, building trusted relationships and driving technical issues to resolution.
    • Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Act as a technical team lead by coaching, enabling, and upskilling solutions engineers while broadening team expertise across the managed security services portfolio.
    • Enablement and Documentation: Create enablement materials, runbooks, demonstration environments, and best-practice documentation that improve team capabilities and accelerate ramp-up.
    • Presentations and Demonstrations: Deliver professional technical presentations and demonstrations through virtual platforms, phone-based engagements, and live or virtual conferences, clearly communicating cybersecurity value to diverse audiences.
    • Voice of the Customer: Synthesize customer and field feedback into actionable insights for Product Management, Security Operations, Engineering, and executive leadership.
    • Growth Opportunities: Identify cross-sell and upgrade opportunities, support sales through closure, and develop use cases, case studies, testimonials, and technical recommendations.
    • Account and Opportunity Management: Maintain accurate account contacts, opportunities, and support activity in Salesforce while ensuring timely and effective two-way communication.
    • Industry Representation: Represent the organization in a general capacity and participate in conferences, product meetings, and other external or internal events as required.
    • Requirements

      • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent relevant preparation.
      • Cybersecurity Engineering Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical account management within cybersecurity, with demonstrated responsibility across both pre-sales and post-sales environments.
      • Managed Security Services: Deep knowledge of MDR, EDR/XDR/MXDR, NDR/IDS, and DNS-layer security, with direct experience using CrowdStrike Falcon and/or Sophos platforms.
      • Networking and Cloud: Strong network engineering fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, and network sensor/IDS deployment, along with working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP and secure or hardened cloud image concepts.
      • Public-Sector Knowledge: Understanding of U.S. State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial government environments, procurement processes, and public-sector sales cycles.
      • Technical Leadership: Demonstrated experience mentoring, training, coaching, or technically leading other engineers.
      • Customer-First Communication: Proactive and empathetic communication style, with a willingness to engage directly by phone and take ownership of issues through complete resolution across the customer lifecycle.
      • Presentation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct technical remote demonstrations using Microsoft Teams and other real-time applications.
      • Business and Productivity Tools: Familiarity with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
      • Working Style: Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively with a broader team in a fast-paced environment.
      • Additional Requirements: Ability to travel as needed and authorization to work in the United States.
      • Additional Experience Preferred: Experience supporting U.S. SLTT agencies, nonprofits, or organizations participating in MS-ISAC/EI-ISAC; relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, GIAC, CrowdStrike CCFA/CCFH, Sophos, or cloud certifications; experience with SOC workflows, incident escalation, and vulnerability management; and familiarity with Windows/Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere/Workstation, and scripting.

        • Health Coverage: PPO, EPO, and HSA medical insurance, plus dental and vision coverage beginning on the first day of employment.
        • Wellness: $500 wellness card for employees participating in health coverage, along with a broader wellness program.
        • Retirement: 401(k) plan with a 4% company match, vested from the first day of employment.
        • Flexible Accounts: Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Dependent Care Account (DCA).
        • Financial and Family Support: Life insurance, bonding leave, student loan paydown program, and Employee Assistance Program.
        • Time Off: Paid Time Off covering vacation, personal, and sick time, plus paid holidays.
        • Additional Rewards: Bonus eligibility, paid volunteering, employee referral program, and employee engagement activities.
        • Professional Growth: Professional development opportunities and tuition reimbursement.
        • Work Environment: A supportive environment with opportunities to expand technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and professional impact.
