ServiceNow ITAM (SAM/HAM) Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a ServiceNow ITAM (SAM/HAM) Developer based in United States.

Join a technical environment where you will help build, enhance, and optimize ServiceNow IT Asset Management solutions.

This role focuses heavily on Software Asset Management Pro, automation, integrations, and backend platform performance.

You will develop sophisticated scripts, workflows, and Service Catalog solutions that streamline software management processes.

The position also involves connecting ServiceNow with discovery tools, inventory platforms, publisher portals, and procurement systems.

You will play an important role in improving reconciliation, asset visibility, software request processes, and operational efficiency.

Working remotely as part of an offshore team, you will contribute your ServiceNow expertise to complex technical initiatives and platform improvements.

Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain complex Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and UI Actions within ServiceNow ITAM and SAM applications.
• Design and implement automated software request, reclamation, and asset management workflows using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
• Create and configure Service Catalog items for software requests, including advanced client-side validations and automation.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, JAMF, and third-party inventory integrations.
• Develop REST and SOAP integrations connecting ServiceNow with external software publisher portals and procurement systems.
• Optimize background jobs, reconciliation engines, and scheduled scripts to improve platform performance and reliability.
• Support ServiceNow platform upgrades and ensure ITAM/SAM functionality remains stable and effective.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, with strong specialization in IT Asset Management and Software Asset Management.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and the ServiceNow API framework.
• Deep technical knowledge of SAM Pro data models, Software Installation tables, Discovery Models, and Software Models.
• Strong experience working with SQL, XML, JSON, and IntegrationHub steps.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is mandatory.
• Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM) certification is preferred.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently on complex ServiceNow development and integration challenges.
