Sr Business Analyst - RFP

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Business Analyst - RFP based in India.

This is an opportunity for a senior business analyst to lead complex, end-to-end Request for Proposal initiatives in a strategic and highly analytical capacity.

You will combine traditional requirements-focused business analysis with business architecture and operating model expertise.

The role involves assessing current-state processes, identifying pain points, and translating findings into actionable business requirements.

You will help shape business capability models, vendor evaluation criteria, demonstration scripts, and comprehensive requirements traceability.

The position requires strong judgment and the ability to connect business strategy with practical technology and process solutions.

You will also provide ongoing support for operational needs, enhancements, and non-project activities as required.

This contract role is well suited to an experienced BA who can operate independently and bring structure to complex business transformation initiatives.

Accountabilities

• Lead end-to-end RFP and requirements-focused business analysis activities, from initial discovery through evaluation and traceability.
• Develop or tailor a three-tier business capability model aligned with organizational objectives and business needs.
• Assess current-state business processes and operating models to identify gaps, inefficiencies, dependencies, and pain points.
• Translate business and process analysis into clear, actionable, and well-structured business requirements.
• Develop detailed demo scripts and scenarios that enable vendors or solution providers to demonstrate their capabilities against defined requirements.
• Establish vendor evaluation criteria and support structured assessment of proposed solutions.
• Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability to ensure business needs remain connected to proposed solutions and evaluation outcomes.
• Apply business architecture principles to connect capabilities, processes, requirements, and strategic priorities.
• Provide on-call support and contribute to non-project activities, enhancements, and other business analysis needs as required.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and maintain alignment throughout the RFP process.

Requirements

• Proven senior-level experience as a Business Analyst, with strong experience leading end-to-end RFP initiatives.
• Strong background in traditional, requirements-focused business analysis, including requirements elicitation, documentation, validation, and traceability.
• Demonstrated experience with business architecture, capability modeling, and operating model analysis.
• Ability to assess current-state processes, identify business pain points, and translate findings into future-state requirements.
• Experience developing vendor evaluation criteria, RFP materials, demonstration scripts, and requirements traceability documentation.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to connect business objectives to detailed requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and documentation capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and bring structure to complex or ambiguous initiatives.
• Comfortable providing on-call support and handling non-project requirements, enhancements, and operational requests.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to requirements management and vendor evaluation.
