This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Finance Manager based in United States.
This role is a high-impact strategic finance position focused on turning company-wide data into trusted insights and better business decisions. You will serve as a key analytical partner to leadership, helping evaluate strategic initiatives, market opportunities, and business tradeoffs. The position combines FP&A, financial modeling, KPI reporting, and cross-functional strategic planning in a fast-growing SaaS environment. You will build reporting processes and data capabilities from the ground up while ensuring the underlying information is accurate and actionable. Working closely with teams across the organization, you will become a go-to resource for understanding what drives performance and where the business can improve. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building from scratch, and wants broad exposure to company-wide strategy.
Accountabilities:
- Own cross-functional KPI reporting, ensuring teams have accurate, timely visibility into performance and proactively highlighting important trends and signals.
- Lead strategic planning and ad hoc analysis initiatives, partnering with leadership to assess new opportunities, investments, initiatives, and business tradeoffs.
- Serve as the primary analytical resource for requests from executives and department leaders, delivering insights that support informed decision-making.
- Own the full breadth of FP&A activities, including Board and investor reporting, short- and long-term financial planning, variance analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure the integrity and reliability of the data underlying financial and operational reporting, addressing quality issues at their source in partnership with relevant teams.
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve data models, reporting processes, and analytical capabilities, leveraging AI to take ownership of increasingly technical aspects of the data infrastructure.
- Translate complex financial and operational findings into clear recommendations and actionable takeaways for non-finance stakeholders.
- Partner across the organization to identify the metrics, processes, and insights that are most critical to evaluating business performance and driving growth.
- 3-5 years of experience spanning investment banking, private equity, or another highly rigorous analytical environment, combined with experience in FP&A or strategic finance within an operating company.
- Experience in a high-growth SaaS or software environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of core SaaS metrics, including ARR, NRR/GRR, CAC, LTV, Magic Number, burn multiple, Rule of 40, and how these metrics connect to underlying business performance.
- Excellent financial modeling skills, with the ability to build structured, accurate, and decision-ready models that withstand detailed scrutiny.
- Demonstrated experience building processes, reporting capabilities, or analytical tooling from scratch, ideally using AI to accelerate development and improve efficiency.
- Strong strategic judgment and the ability to act as a thought partner to senior leadership by providing context, interpretation, and recommendations rather than simply reporting numbers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into concise, compelling insights for non-finance audiences.
- Highly organized, responsive, and capable of managing multiple concurrent requests while maintaining data quality and meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
- Experience with dbt, Snowflake, or comparable modern data-stack technologies is a plus.
- Experience working at a smaller company where reporting processes and capabilities had to be built rather than inherited is preferred.
- Working knowledge of SQL, BI/dashboarding platforms, and FP&A tools is an advantage.
- Annual compensation of $155,000-$185,000 USD plus equity.
- Fully remote position across the United States.
- Unlimited and flexible paid time off.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents.
- Company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance.
- 401(k) plan with a 4% company match.
- Company-provided computer and technology equipment based on role requirements.
- $1,000 new-hire setup stipend for remote work needs.
- Company-wide travel twice per year for kickoffs and mid-year meetings.
- A remote-first environment focused on ownership, collaboration, urgency, and high standards.
- Opportunities to work on strategic challenges with broad company-wide visibility and impact.
