QE Platform Engineer

This role focuses on building the quality engineering infrastructure that enables software teams to ship reliable products with confidence. You will design and own shared test automation frameworks used across web, mobile, and backend services within a fast-moving financial technology environment. Your work will help detect issues earlier, improve engineering feedback loops, and embed quality practices directly into the development lifecycle. You will build scalable tooling for test execution, environments, test data, and automation observability. Working across multiple engineering teams, you will influence testing standards while reducing the friction that slows delivery. Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and own shared test automation frameworks that can be leveraged by engineering teams across web, mobile, and backend services.
• Develop and maintain reliable test execution infrastructure capable of running automated suites at scale.
• Build tooling for flaky-test detection, investigation, triage, and ongoing reduction of test instability.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve test coverage and maturity while integrating quality practices directly into development workflows.
• Develop infrastructure for test environment provisioning, test data management, and parallelized test execution to maintain fast feedback cycles.
• Monitor the health and performance of test infrastructure, including pass rates, execution times, and flakiness.
• Identify and eliminate technical friction points that reduce the efficiency of engineering and testing teams.
• Establish and promote testing best practices across multiple engineering teams.
• Create and maintain internal documentation that helps engineers develop, maintain, and effectively use automated tests.
• Contribute to a modern engineering environment using cloud-native infrastructure, microservices, and AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in test automation, quality engineering, or backend/platform engineering with a strong focus on testing.
• Deep experience designing and developing test automation frameworks and shared testing tools using technologies such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, or comparable programming languages, with experience architecting reusable test frameworks rather than simply writing individual test cases.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, including Kubernetes, AWS, and containerized test environments.
• Familiarity with testing across multiple layers of the technology stack, including API and integration testing as well as end-to-end testing for web and mobile applications.
• Experience working with modern application architectures and software engineering practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence testing standards and practices across multiple engineering teams.
• Highly proactive and execution-oriented, with the ability to take ownership and solve problems independently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
• Familiarity with React Native, microservices, or AI-assisted development tools is advantageous.
