Tech Lead - Fullstack

Accountabilities:
The Tech Lead will be responsible for guiding the engineering team technically while actively contributing to the design, development, and continuous improvement of scalable software solutions.
- Lead the engineering team technically while maintaining a hands-on approach to software development.
- Drive architectural evolution across monolithic and microservices environments, balancing scalability, simplicity, and maintainability.
- Coordinate integrations between backend services, APIs, mobile applications, and external systems.
- Ensure end-to-end quality across code development, automated testing, production environments, and observability practices.
- Investigate technical issues, improve system performance, and promote continuous optimization.
- Support the growth and development of engineers through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
- Participate in technical decisions, architecture discussions, and code reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
- Translate business needs into effective technical solutions and contribute to strategic product decisions.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced technical leader with strong fullstack development expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to make autonomous decisions in complex environments.
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Software Engineer with technical leadership responsibilities.
- Strong backend development experience with Ruby on Rails and/or TypeScript.
- Hands-on development profile with active participation in coding and technical implementation.
- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and database modeling principles.
- Experience working with AWS cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern software delivery workflows.
- Experience implementing automated testing and software engineering best practices.
- Knowledge of microservices architectures and messaging solutions such as SQS, SNS, or similar technologies is a plus.
- Experience with Flutter or mobile application integrations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Redis, DynamoDB, or other NoSQL databases is desirable.
- Advanced CI/CD experience with tools such as GitHub Actions, Argo CD, or Infrastructure as Code practices is a plus.
- Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate software development workflows is valued.
- Spanish and/or English proficiency is considered a differentiator.
- Strong ownership mindset, autonomy, decision-making ability, and focus on business impact.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
