Technical Lead – IFS

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Lead - IFS based in India.

This is a senior technical leadership opportunity focused on shaping and evolving a business-critical IFS Cloud platform within a global enterprise environment.

You will provide technical direction across architecture, development, integrations, platform governance, and release management.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical engagement, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and upgrade-safe.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and external technology partners to translate complex requirements into effective solutions.

Your work will directly support digital transformation initiatives and help strengthen the reliability and long-term capabilities of the ERP landscape.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the technical design, development, evolution, and governance of the IFS Cloud platform and related enterprise applications.
• Review and approve technical designs, customizations, extensions, integrations, and code quality while ensuring alignment with architectural and development standards.
• Establish and maintain technical governance, documentation practices, development standards, and upgrade-safe design principles.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to developers, consultants, solution architects, and external technology partners.
• Lead the development of IFS customizations, Aurena pages, projections, custom pages, reports, document solutions, and other platform enhancements.
• Support IFS configuration, upgrades, implementations, optimization initiatives, automation, and adoption of new functionality.
• Own the architecture and delivery of integrations between IFS Cloud and CRM, maintenance, logistics, financial, and third-party enterprise systems.
• Define secure, scalable, and maintainable integration solutions in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
• Design and oversee deployment and release strategies across development, testing, build, and production environments.
• Govern deployment pipelines, build processes, version control, release management, and production readiness.
• Monitor platform performance, reliability, and stability while identifying and implementing continuous improvements.
• Manage and govern system access and authorization levels in accordance with security standards and segregation-of-duties requirements.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, improve processes, and ensure technology initiatives deliver measurable business value.
• Evaluate technical proposals, guide vendors and external development teams, and act as a trusted advisor on architecture, technical capabilities, and ERP roadmap decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience working with IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud, with extensive knowledge of enterprise ERP environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, integrations, software development lifecycles, ERP ecosystems, DevOps principles, and release management.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and providing direction to developers across complex, business-critical initiatives.
• Strong expertise in IFS customizations, extensions, reporting, deployment processes, and platform development.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements and processes into practical, scalable technical solutions.
• Experience designing and managing integrations between ERP platforms and multiple enterprise or third-party systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities, with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business communities.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution.
