Profile match
Jobgether is a Belgian recruitment platform built entirely around remote and flexible work, aggregating openings from thousands of employers that allow work from outside an office. Its matching engine ranks roles against a candidate's skills, seniority and stated preferences on location and flexibility, rather than leaving people to filter a keyword search, and it verifies how genuinely remote each posting is. The company also runs an AI screening layer that shortlists applicants for employers, and publishes research and guidance on distributed work practices alongside the job marketplace itself.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a TPM: Operational Targeting Products based in the United States.

As a Technical Program Manager for Operational Targeting Products, you will own end-to-end execution for a high-priority software campaign supporting defense, public safety, and national security missions. You will translate business strategy and customer commitments into clear, sequenced delivery plans for dedicated engineering teams. The role combines program leadership, technical fluency, customer engagement, and day-to-day delivery ownership. You will coordinate engineering, cloud, client, and QA teams while managing scope, schedules, dependencies, and risks. You will work directly with operators and mission stakeholders to turn field needs into actionable product requirements. This is an execution-focused opportunity in a fast-moving environment where reliable software delivery and mission impact are critical.

Accountabilities:

    • Own the end-to-end delivery plan for operational targeting capabilities, aligning engineering work with customer commitments and business priorities.
    • Lead Agile sprint and release planning, backlog prioritization, grooming, and tradeoff decisions across scope, schedule, quality, and available capacity.
    • Translate operator, customer, and field feedback into clearly defined engineering requirements and actionable delivery plans.
    • Track dependencies across engineering, client, cloud, QA, and other technical functions, proactively identifying and escalating delivery risks.
    • Maintain program readiness, risk, delivery status, KPIs, and post-release outcomes, providing clear updates to leadership.
    • Establish definitions of done and drive release quality, regression discipline, operational readiness, and continuous improvement.
    • Support customer discovery, demonstrations, proposals, capture activities, and executive briefings related to targeting capabilities.
    • Partner with engineering leaders on architecture, sensor and data integrations, technical debt, technical design reviews, and implementation tradeoffs.
    • Identify opportunities to reuse platform capabilities across targeting and other geospatial initiatives.
    • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Business Development, and Program teams to align execution with broader business objectives.
    • Ensure solutions meet applicable security, regulatory, and government contracting requirements.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
      • 3+ years of experience in technical program management, product management, or a comparable role, combined with significant people-management experience.
      • Experience managing and developing teams, with the ability to establish accountability, support performance, and lead through complex delivery environments.
      • Proven experience owning software delivery across multiple engineering disciplines, including front-end, back-end, cloud, and QA functions.
      • Strong Agile expertise, including backlog management, sprint and release planning, dependency coordination, risk management, and readiness tracking.
      • Technical fluency and confidence participating in engineering design discussions and evaluating technical tradeoffs.
      • Ability to turn customer, operator, and business needs into well-scoped engineering requirements and executable plans.
      • Strong prioritization, judgment, and decision-making skills, particularly when requirements or circumstances are changing.
      • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities across technical teams, customers, business development, program management, and senior leadership.
      • Experience with GIS, geospatial technology, ISR/FMV, defense, tactical software, or related mission-critical technologies.
      • Familiarity with targeting-cycle doctrine and operational execution.
      • Experience working directly with Department of War, SOCOM, coalition, or public safety operators is highly valuable.
      • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
      • Willingness to travel approximately 30%.
      • Preferred experience includes FMV/ISR data, camera-based detection, cUAS planning, TAK, Cesium, ArcGIS, GDAL, GeoJSON, or C2 systems.
      • Proficiency in C#, C++, or Python and experience supporting DoD acquisition programs are advantageous.
      • Benefits

        • Salary: $130,000-$160,000 annually, plus bonus and equity.
        • Compensation is determined based on experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and relevant market data.
        • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
        • HSA/FSA options.
        • Parental leave.
        • 401(k) with a 100% company match on the first 6% contributed.
        • Unlimited paid time off.
        • Home office stipend.
        • Approximately 30% travel as part of the role.
        • Opportunity to contribute to mission-critical technology supporting defense, public safety, and national security operations.
        • Collaborative environment with significant ownership and direct impact on products used in demanding operational environments.
