What this job involves:

The JLL Lease Advisoryteam is a market leading UK wide business of professionals providing advice toall sectors of commercial property includingOffice, Industrial andRetailalong withspecialist sectors such as Life Sciences, Healthcare and Leisure.

A Director/Associatelevel position isrequiredtojointheLeedsLease Advisory team,supporting the Headof the Regions,in the delivery of the business and development plansto achieve theGroup’sexcitinggoals.You would be joining amarket leading teamof 37+Surveyors based across JLL’s UK office network havingthe opportunity to be part of influencing the team’s future growth strategy in theYorkshire andNorth-EastMarkets.

The individual willalsomove toplayanintegralrolein the senior team of the Leeds officefocusedonstrengtheningthefirm’slocalclientbaseand targeting new opportunitiesworking in conjunction with agency,investmentandtheother professional teams.

The primary aspect of the rolewillinvolve providing advice to JLL’s investor and occupiers clients in connection torent reviews,leaserenewals, leaseregearing and surrender assignments within theYorkshire and North Eastsmarkets. The individual will alsobe able toprovide general lease and rental advice to clients and colleagues across the firm.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Work alongside other Directors tomanage the client base to deliverthefinancial goalsfor theYorkshire andNorth Eastteam

• Undertake lease advisoryassignmentscommensuratewith the role

• Target business development opportunities working withcolleagues within theGroup andotherdepartments of the Leeds office and wider firm

• Provideaccuratemanagement information to the Head of the Region and Senior Leadership Team of the Lease Advisory Group

• Deliveringyear on yearincome andgrowth

• Manage fee negotiations, billings, all teamprojectsand debt recovery

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

• Commercialacumenprovidingclients withthebest solutions havingthe ability toidentifyopportunities beyond the immediate client brief

• Ability to manage timelines and work under pressure to tight deadlines

• Engage, support and deal with multiple instructions

• Ability tomanageclients and colleagues at all levels

• Strong written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong negotiation and quantitative skills, including analysis and interpretation of large data sets

Required Skills and Experience:

• Good working knowledge of theYorkshire andNorth Eastmarketsand client basewould be preferable but not essential

• Experience of rent review, lease regearand lease renewal negotiations

• Experience of Expert Witness reporting writing is desirable but not essential

• Enthusiastic, self-driven and collaborative

• Agile, trustworthy, courageous, innovative

• A full driving licence
