Business Manager - Furniture Solutions
Managing furniture projects and growing our furniture business across the Netherlands
You'll manage furniture projects from briefing through to completion; and build the client relationships that grow our furniture business across the Dutch market. This is a Netherlands-wide role, based out of our Amsterdam office.
What the role involves
Project Management
- Manage the full lifecycle of furniture projects generated through JLL and Tétris design and build channels - from briefing through to completion.
- Handle full order management: briefing, quoting, placing orders and liaising with suppliers throughout.
- Track budgets and margins on every project to protect profitability.
- Manage on-site delivery and installation.
- Run project handover and stay engaged afterwards for ongoing client support and maintenance.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers and internal design teams so projects land on time, on budget and to spec.
Commercial and Business Development
- Spot and pursue opportunities to grow existing accounts as you build relationships through project delivery.
- Work with JLL and Tétris Design and Build teams to identify new furniture opportunities as projects come through the pipeline.
- Build a network across the Dutch market to bring in new business.
- Balance client requirements around functionality, budget, ergonomics and aesthetics while protecting margin.
- Own the client relationship from first contact through to repeat business.
Technical and product knowledge
- Knowledge of furniture products, brands and manufacturers across different project types.
- Understanding of circular economy services, including Digital Product Passports, product tracking, reuse, refurbishment, responsible recycling and the standards behind them.
- Work with internal and external architects and designers to shape furniture proposals that fit the projects wider interior concepts.
- Keep up with sustainability and circular economy developments in the industry.
What you'll bring
Experience and knowledge
- HBO or Technical University degree in Construction/Architecture with an interior design focus, or equivalent practical experience.
- Furniture industry Dealer experience, ideally five years or more.
- A track record of managing projects and clients commercially, keeping both happy.
- Comfortable reading technical layouts and shop drawings.
- Working knowledge of Dutch workplace regulations (ARBO, NEN), the Buildings Decree and fire safety requirements.
- Full fluency in Dutch and English, written and spoken, non-negotiable.
- Valid Dutch driving licence - you'll be covering projects across the country.

- Hands-on and enthusiastic, with a strong work ethic.
- Warm and easy to work with, clients and colleagues notice it.
- Resilient under pressure. The day-to-day doesn’t always go to plan, and you're able keep a level head in challenging circumstances.
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects and priorities at once.
- Comfortable with change. We're a dynamic organisation and prioritise flexibility.
- A willingness for continued learning as the role develops.
Practical skills
- Confident with Microsoft suite - Excel, Office, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook.
- Navision, Pcon, Salesforce, experience is a plus, not a requirement.
About Tétris
Tétris, part of the JLL Group, designs and builds workspaces across commercial, education, retail and hospitality projects, as both consultant and general contractor. We operate in twelve countries across EMEA, part of a business spanning three continents, with around $700 million in turnover and over 900 people.
We launched our Furniture Solutions department in France in 2017 and have been growing it across Tétris markets since. We're continuing to build it out in the Netherlands, an established business with genuine room for you to contribute and shape how the team grows here.
