Job Requisition: Team Lead, Analytics Services
What this opportunity involves:
The Team Lead, Analytics Services role will join JLL's global analytics team to provide hands-on leadership and technical support for our data management, compliance, and reporting functions. Reporting to the Team Manager, this position will coordinate a team of analysts supporting JLL practices such as Consulting and Sustainability Analytics functions.
This is a working leadership position focused on mentoring, task coordination, and quality control while still performing analytical work alongside the team. The Team Lead will guide team members through day-to-day deliverables, perform quality reviews, and help maintain high-quality service delivery across client accounts. The role requires strong analytical abilities, solid communication skills, and the ability to support team members while meeting project deadlines.
The position requires collaboration with internal teams including JLL's Client Account and Operations groups to execute projects and deliver quality results to clients.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Project Coordination & Delivery:
- Coordinate daily project tasks and assignments for team analysts
- Track project progress and communicate updates to Team Manager
- Review team deliverables for quality and accuracy before submission
- Perform analytical work on client projects as a contributing team member
- Identify project issues early and escalate to Team Manager as needed
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Team Coordination & Mentorship:
- Guide and mentor analysts on project work and analytical tasks
- Provide feedback to help team members improve their work quality
- Help onboard and train new team members on processes and tools
- Conduct regular check-ins with team members to answer questions and provide support
- Support Team Manager with performance feedback for team members
Technical Support & Quality Control:
- Serve as a resource for analytics tools and reporting methods
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency
- Maintain quality standards for team deliverables
- Help troubleshoot technical problems and find solutions
- Create and maintain templates and process documentation
- Keep up with relevant tools and methods in analytics and sustainability reporting
- Demonstrate quality work through your own deliverables
Client Support & Communication:
- Serve as trusted advisor to clients while ensuring high satisfaction and long-term retention outcomes
- Attend client meetings with Team Manager to understand project needs
- Respond to basic client questions and coordinate team support
- Break down client requests into work tasks for the team
- Ensure deliverables meet client needs and are delivered on time
- Help prepare client reports and presentations
Process Support & Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest ways to improve team workflows and efficiency
- Seek opportunities to transfer knowledge across Analytics teams to help others learn and grow professionally
- Work with regional leadership to support team development and implementation of standardized processes and technology across the team
- Help implement new processes and tools
- Create training materials and documentation for the team
- Assist Team Manager with workload planning
- Track team progress and provide input on improvements
The successful candidate will have the following:
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in analytics, consulting, or related field
- At least 2 years of team leadership experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Experience in sustainability reporting, compliance reporting, or consulting analytics
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with real estate or building performance analytics
- Experience with environmental reporting software and working with large datasets
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Previous experience as a team lead or senior analyst
- Experience supporting North American clients
- Basic understanding of project management
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Environmental Science, Business, or related field
Key Deliverables:
- Daily coordination of project tasks and team activities with quality oversight
- Guidance and mentorship to analysts to support their development
- Quality analytical deliverables that meet client expectations
- Regular updates to Team Manager on project status and team needs
- Process documentation and improvements to help team efficiency
