Job Description:

Due to our continued growth and expanding client portfolio, we are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join the gTECHserv team. In this role, you will work on exciting projects for businesses across Charlotte, helping clients optimize their technology, strengthen cybersecurity, and improve operational efficiency. You will deliver proactive Managed IT Services and technology support for small and mid-sized businesses, including cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, network management, Microsoft 365, and IT consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide remote and onsite technical support for business clients.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and end-user devices.
• Deploy and support Microsoft 365, cloud services, and cybersecurity solutions.
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, backup verification, and disaster recovery support.
• Identify opportunities to improve clients' IT infrastructure, security, and overall performance.
• Document technical issues, resolutions, and recommend proactive technology improvements.

Technology Stack:

• Operating Systems & Virtualization: Microsoft Windows 10/11, Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V
• Cloud & Directory Services: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Intune, Cloud Migration Solutions
• Networking & Security: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls (Fortinet, SonicWall, Cisco), Microsoft Defender, Endpoint Security, Backup & Disaster Recovery, Cybersecurity Technologies
• Management Tools: Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) Tools, Professional Services Automation (PSA) Platforms

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in IT support, managed IT services, or a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
• Experience managing network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud technologies, or cloud migration projects.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience using Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) and Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English (minimum B2 level), with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or Azure certifications are a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting Microsoft Intune, VMware, or Hyper-V environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender, Fortinet, Cisco, SonicWall, or other enterprise security solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Experience working in an MSP environment supporting multiple business clients.
• Exposure to IT documentation, automation, or scripting with PowerShell.
