About Us
Journey is an established hotel ecommerce and technology business with more than 140 people across two offices, supporting 1,500 clients in 25 countries. For over 15 years, we have helped ambitious hotels grow direct revenue through advisory, websites, digital marketing, ecommerce, spa & experience management. We are launching a first of its kind SaaS product within that wider Journey offering, built on our existing hotel relationships, expertise and technology. It helps hotels understand and improve digital advertising across Google, Meta and emerging channels such as ChatGPT.
What you'll do
Your focus will be at the top of the funnel. Working with the Commercial Director you will target the right luxury hotels and hotel groups, open doors and secure audits and demos. They will support you closely with demos and closing.
This is not a senior enterprise closing role. We want someone at the earlier or middle stage of their sales career, with good foundations, energy and an appetite to learn. This is an office based role in Cheltenham because growing together as a team matters to us.
Target Accounts: Research and engage named luxury hotels and hotel groups, including opportunities within Journey’s existing client base.
Outreach: Start relevant conversations by phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals and industry networks.
Opportunity Creation: Turn early interest into audits and demos.
Relationships: Build trust with hotel owners, general managers, commercial leaders and marketers.
Collaboration: Work with the Commercial Director, Billy and the wider team to qualify and hand over opportunities.
Platform Knowledge: Learn the platform, digital advertising and the luxury hotel market.
Market Feedback: Share prospect feedback to improve the proposition and our approach.
CRM and Reporting: Keep the CRM, follow ups, activity, opportunities and results up to date.
What you'll bring
Essential
Some experience in sales, business development or lead generation, with the ability to start and progress conversations.
Confidence with decision makers and the judgement to adapt your approach.
Clear, natural written and verbal communication.
A proactive, self motivated and resilient approach.
CRM experience and the discipline to keep activity and next steps current.
Able to work with us in the Cheltenham office.
Desirable
Understanding of digital advertising, particularly Google and Meta.
Exposure to hospitality, luxury travel, SaaS or technology.
