You are a strategic thinker with a passion for financial analysis and operational excellence. As the Finance Lead, India CAO within the India CAO organization, you will play a pivotal role as a trusted finance partner-supporting business-as-usual (BAU) activities, leadership reviews, and tech-enabled initiatives across F&BM deliverables, controls enhancements, and SAP CO allocations.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead annual budget preparation and documentation for leadership (yearly budgeting exercise for CAO Admin along with review with functional leads for their areas), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage monthly cost tracking, accruals, reclasses, SAP CO allocations, and spend outlook -Own CAO Admin GL review (including expense categorization). Manage central expense tracking (EAW / RUN / Impact Awards) and monthly India CAO Financials (EMR). Billing, invoices & finance controls
- Oversee billing rule uploads/approvals, monthly unbilled balance clearance, CFO invoice review, and finance controls. Finalize monthly review documents; support vendor meetings and CAO reviews.
Headcount & hierarchies
- Deliver monthly India headcount reporting (open positions/new joiners).
Reconcile headcount between Essbase and the India Book. Maintain ECCM hierarchy, RDHO updates, and alternate hierarchy. Analysis & leadership insight
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and thematic reviews; provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions.
- Collaborate on tech projects (e.g., SAP CO Allocations, Data Enablement).
Participate in brainstorming with Finance, CDO, and tech teams; support leadership reviews and CAO review documentation.
- Partner with CAO Controls on internal audits, control reviews, and risk assessments; ensure compliance and drive the controls agenda for CAO F&BM india teams
- Run regular connects with India CAO leadership, produce ad-hoc reports, and support review meetings.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience: 10+ years experience in finance space
Execution & prioritization: Proven ability to independently prioritize work, manage surge periods, and deliver under tight deadlines.
Analytical capability: Strong analytical/problem-solving skills-able to collect, reconcile, interpret data; identify variances/risks; translate into actionable insights.
Partnership: Ability to partner with finance teams locally and globally, and with local operations leads and their teams.
Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to produce clear analyses and executive-ready materials.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (CA/MBA preferred).
Reporting-cycle experience (preferred): Experience running monthly management reporting cycles (e.g., EMR, invoice reviews, controls agenda).
Tools/Tech: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Databricks & AI knowledge is a plus.
Preferred exposure: Headcount reporting, ECCM hierarchy maintenance, and/or hierarchy governance.
