Metroll Toowoomba is looking for reliable and motivated Machine Operators to join our operations team.
Whether you’re looking for consistent part time hours or a full time opportunity, we have options to suit. This is a hands-on role where you’ll operate roll forming machinery, work with a great team and play an important part in producing quality steel building products.
Metroll manufactures and distributes high-quality metal building products and accessories to the commercial and residential construction industries across Australia.
Part Time Opportunity
Looking for regular work that fits around your existing commitments?
We can offer consistent 4-hour shifts, with the flexibility to work three, four or five days per week.
This option could suit someone who:
- Wants consistent hours without committing to full time work
- Has study, family or other commitments
- Works FIFO or around another roster
- Wants to keep their weekends free
- Is looking for a pathway into full time employment
Full Time Opportunity
For those looking for a full time role, we offer consistent weekday hours for afternoon shifts.
Evening shift:
- Monday to Thursday: 2:30 PM to 11:15 PM
Friday: 6 AM - 5 PM
- An additional 15% shift loading allowance applies to the evening shift.
What you’ll be doing
- Operating a variety of roll forming and production machines
- Following production schedules and meeting deadlines
- Performing pre-start checks and participating in regular equipment maintenance
- Strapping and preparing products for transport
- Using overhead cranes and forklifts to load materials onto production equipment
- Ensuring products are manufactured to a high standard
- Maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work environment
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for people who are reliable, safety-focused and take pride in their work.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience operating machinery or working in a manufacturing environment
- The ability to follow instructions and work to production schedules
- Good time management and attention to detail
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Forklift licence, advantageous but not essential
- Crane experience or ticket, advantageous but not essential
- Previous roll forming or steel manufacturing experience is valued, but training can be provided for the right person.
