Overview
We are seeking a Manager, Controls Engineering to lead our Solutions & Delivery Optimization Controls team, driving the strategy, standardization, and development of automation controls solutions across our global organization.
This leadership role is responsible for managing a team of experienced Controls Engineers focused on evaluating emerging technologies, developing standardized controls building blocks, and enabling scalable, modular automation solutions. Working closely with Product Management, R&D, Systems Engineering, Commercialization, and other global engineering organizations, you will build modules and deployment processes that supports both current and future automation solutions.
As a technical and organizational leader for the team, you will foster engineering excellence, promote innovation, and ensure the successful development and execution support of standardized controls solutions that improve solution quality, scalability, and customer delivery.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be S121,600 - $152,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Experienced Controls Engineers.
- Support and execute the controls engineering strategy, roadmap, and priorities aligned with business objectives.
- Drive the development, standardization, and commercialization of controls platforms and capabilities that enable scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with global engineering organizations to align controls architecture, productization, and solution development.
- Guide the evaluation and adoption of new automation technologies to support current and future solutions.
- Support establishing engineering standards, best practices, and governance for controls software and system design.
- Provide technical leadership and execution guidance to support pilot implementations, customer deployments, and solution commercialization.
- Foster continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and organizational capability.
Required Skills & Capabilities
- Demonstrated leadership experience leading highly technical engineering teams.
- Knowledge of industrial automation, controls engineering, and system architecture.
- Strong understanding of modular automation design and controls standardization.
- Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Siemens-based automation platforms, including controls architecture and industrial networking.
- Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to build partnerships across global, cross-functional engineering organizations.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance innovation, technical excellence, customer needs, and project timeline constraints.
Experience Required
- 7+ years of experience in controls engineering, automation, mechatronics, or related industrial engineering disciplines.
- Experience leading engineering teams in a technical management role.
- Experience leading controls standardization, PLC software development, or automation productization initiatives is preferred
- Experience in logistics, material handling, or large-scale industrial automation systems preferred.
- Experience working in global or matrixed engineering organizations preferred.
- Willingness to travel globally (up to 30%).
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
