Group/Division
The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. KLA’s Optical Metrology Division (OMD) delivers advanced systems for optical overlay metrology, combining hardware and software to boost yield and efficiency. Known for industry-leading accuracy, reliability, and integration, these tools are trusted by major semiconductor manufacturers worldwide.What You'll Do

In this job you will:
- Conduct Research & Development of innovative algorithms for the next generation optical metrology of semiconductor devices
- Work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment that encourages creativity
- Interact and collaborate with highly skilled peers
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Develop algorithms for optical metrology, including measurement sequence design, measurement condition optimization, tool calibration, signal/image processing, numerical computation, and machine learning
- Algorithm research & development: challenge definition, feasibility research, concept definition, solution development, qualification testing and on-tool implementation
- Working on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of multiple factors
- Demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Interact with senior internal and external personnel
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master or PhD in Physics, Optics, Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields
- Experience in signal or image processing
- Experience in algorithm development and implementation in Matlab or Python
- Experience with Optical Systems / Microscopy - an advantage
- Experience in the semi-conductor industry - an advantage
- Team player with good written and verbal communication skills, to interact with members of a multi-disciplinary global team
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently, and with curiosity to learn on the job

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 yearsAbout KLA
