Koch Ag & Energy Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate high-quality software solutions that deliver business value. In this role, you will work as part of a collaborative engineering team responsible for developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems using modern development practices.
You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle-from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing support-while partnering closely with product, architecture, and business stakeholders.

We develop and support a portfolio of products that make market data accessible across a wide range of applications throughout Koch, Inc. Our team designs innovative services, establishes and shares engineering best practices, and provides reliable operational support for the solutions we deliver. By partnering closely with business stakeholders and technology teams, we apply technology thoughtfully to improve performance, enable informed decision-making, and create profitable business outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to software development efforts across the full project lifecycle.
- Partner with the Tower Technical Lead and BSAs to prioritize backlog items from a technical perspective.
- Support andmaintainexisting applications by troubleshooting and resolving production issues
- Design APIs, services, and data integrations that are scalable, secure, and performant
- Identify transformation opportunities that leverage AI, automation, and cloud-native platforms to deliver business value
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies, patterns, and practices
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
·Demonstrated professional experience in software engineering, software development, or a related technical field
- Experience with Python programming language
- Legally Authorized to work in the United States
- Experience developing, deploying, and supporting applications using AWS serverless services (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB)
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in Market Data,Commodity/Financial Trading, or related industries.
- Experience developing generative AI or agentic services using the AWS AgentCore runtime.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and other modern development tools.
- Experience using generative AI tools such as Copilot or Claude Code in software development and solution delivery.
