We are seeking a world class, self-directed Software Engineerto build software solutions from the ground up to support the development, manufacturing, and testing of cutting edgehigh-speed electrical interconnects. We’relooking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas including scientific programming, information/databases, test, & verification. As a software engineer you will employ Python and innovative development techniques, working collaboratively with other team members and our global manufacturing centers to build software solutions to solve challenges in any areasof the business. Within CSBU, the Software Solution Group(SSG) connects product, engineering, manufacturing, and operations through advanced traceability, production manufacturing applications, database platforms, system integration, manufacturing support, and analytics for high-speed electrical interconnects.

What You Will Do

• Apply software expertiseand entrepreneurial thinking to solve business challenges across design, manufacturing, testing, and verification.

• Design, develop, modify, and maintainPython software modules for product testing and qualification throughout product development and manufacturing.

• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and signal integrity engineers to create software solutions for testing high-speed and low-speed electrical performance.

• Build and enhance desktop software (Python) to optimizeand expand capabilities in global manufacturing centers.

• Partner with engineering teams to develop tools that improve the design process and engineering efficiency, focusing on feature implementation, configuration, and application development.

• Continuously learn and adopt new technologiesto keep software skills current.

• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and unit testing to improve software reliability and performance.

• Analyze test results, prepare reports, and implement necessary software modifications.

• Document software solutions and share knowledge internally with other engineers.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Python development and standard software verification and validation techniques.

• Explore and contribute to new concepts and innovative solutions.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s or master’sdegree in electricalor Electronics/ Computer Sc/System Engineering.

• 2-4 years of experience working with Python-based desktop applications.

• Minimum 1+ yearsof practical software development experience in Python with demonstratedability to design and build tools and applications that support testing and validation workflows.

• Experience with source control and software development lifecycle tools, including version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and issue/bug tracking platforms (e.g., JIRA).

• Basic knowledge of SQLand database concepts.

• Knowledge of software testing practices, test automation, and unit testing frameworks such as PyTestand unittest.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills demonstratethe ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely with global teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identifysolutions, evaluate outcomes, and apply software design principles to develop effective and maintainable applications.

• High proficiencyusing analytical tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and others as required.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Exposure to hardware systems, electrical interconnects, or manufacturing processes,

• Experience with scientific Python libraries and tools like NumPy, Pandas, and Anaconda.

• Proven ability to develop reusable software libraries, APIs, and frameworks designed for use by other engineers and testers.

• Exposure to CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines.
