Logistics Officer

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to oversee end-to-end material flow and transport operations. In this role, you will manage inbound and outbound goods, prepare critical customs and shipping paperwork, schedule transportation, and coordinate vehicle loading to maintain safe, timely, and compliant supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify incoming shipments against POs and packing lists, resolving discrepancies and damages promptly with suppliers.
• Maintain receiving logs, inventory records, and shipping documentation.
• Prepare, process, and file compliant customs documentation.
• Coordinate and track domestic and international transit.
• Serve as the liaison between transport providers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Proactively monitor shipments to troubleshoot delays and minimise transit disruptions.
• Optimise trailer space utilisation and dispatch schedules to maximise route efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, transport safety guidelines, and customs regulations.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
• Solid understanding of international shipping documentation, Incoterms, and customs clearance procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, namely Excel and experience working with ERP or inventory systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate smoothly with drivers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability to resolve transit delays and operational issues promptly.
