Position Overview
We are seeking a results-oriented and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager - Crypto Payment to drive the growth of our crypto payment product. You will be responsible for expanding our merchant acceptance network, building strategic partnerships with wallets, PSPs, and payment gateways, and supporting the adoption of crypto as a payment method in real-world scenarios.
This role requires a deep understanding of the crypto payment ecosystem and the ability to lead partner engagement from prospecting to execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow KuCoin Pay’s presence in global markets
- Lead merchant acquisition initiatives, identifying and onboarding e-commerce platforms, retail merchants, and digital service providers that accept crypto payments
- Build and manage partnerships with payment gateways, crypto-friendly PSPs, wallets, and infrastructure providers
- Collaborate with internal product, legal/compliance, marketing, and operations teams to ensure smooth partner integration and execution
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform go-to-market strategies and partnership priorities
- Negotiate commercial terms, close deals, and maintain strong, long-term partner relationships
- Represent KuCoin Pay at blockchain, fintech, and payment industry events to promote brand visibility and business growth
- Monitor KPIs and continuously optimize business development efforts based on performance and feedback
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales, ideally in crypto, fintech, or payment sectors
- Solid understanding of crypto payment flows, stablecoin settlements, and merchant/on-chain payment infrastructure
- Experience working with or negotiating partnerships with platforms like Triple-A, Binance Pay, or equivalent
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global, and dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel as needed for business purposes
