Requirements:

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience with at least 2+ years in payments systems.
  • Strong expertise in payment gateways, transaction flows, settlements, reconciliation, and payout systems.
  • Solid programming skills in any backend language.
  • Hands-on experience with: Microservices architecture, REST/gRPC APIs, Message queues/streams (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, and Celery), and SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of: Idempotency, retries, ordering, distributed locks, High-performance transactional systems, Event-driven architectures.
  • Basic Knowledge of services in the cloud, such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, S3 CloudWatch.
  • Deep knowledge of the payments lifecycle: auth, capture, refund, settlement, chargeback.
