At Kula, you’ll work on some of our hardest problems across AI and agentic systems. You’ll build intelligent systems that don't just assist humans, but reason, take action, and autonomously complete meaningful work.

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who combines exceptional technical judgment with extreme execution speed.

What you'll do

You’ll build AI systems and agents that operate in the real world.

You’ll take ambitious, ambiguous problems and turn them into working products - fast.

You’ll experiment with LLMs, agents, tools, memory, reasoning, evaluation, and orchestration to push the boundaries of what autonomous systems can reliably do.

You’ll own problems end-to-end: understanding the problem, designing the system, writing the code, shipping it, observing how it behaves, and improving it.

You’ll know when a problem needs a sophisticated new architecture and when it needs a $1 chalk mark.

You might be the $1 Engineer if...

You have an unusual ability to find the root cause of complex problems.

You can take something from an idea to production faster than most teams can schedule the kickoff meeting.

You have strong opinions, but you're willing to throw them away when the data proves you wrong.
