The Role

Are you ready to join the team of software engineering experts at Kyndryl? We are seeking a talented Software Engineering Technical Specialist to contribute to our software engineering space and provide critical skills required for the development of cutting-edge products.

The DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, and maintainingsecure,scalable,andresilientinfrastructureanddeploymentpipelines. The role requires expertise in cloud platforms, automation, security best practices, and modern DevOps methodologies. Engineers must work in an agile, collaborative environment, ensuring seamless integration of security into development workflows and infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities

·Developautomationandprocessestoenableteamstodeploy,manage, scale,andmonitorapplicationsindatacentersandcloudenvironments.

·Troubleshootandresolvesystemandapplicationissuesacrossplatforms, participating in on-call escalations for critical incidents.

·Takeownershipofend-to-endinfrastructureandsecuritysolutionsacross the organization.

·Deployandmanagemonitoringtoolstotrackinfrastructureperformance,utilization,andhealth.

·Implementconfigurationmanagementsystemsforbusinesscontinuityand automate disaster recovery measures.

·Provisionvirtualmachines,databases,applicationcontainers,andlicenses for development teams.

·ConfigureandmaintainCI/CDpipelines,incorporatingstreamlinedchange management and release processes.

·Developscriptsandautomationtoolstosupportsoftwarebuild,integration, and deployment across development and production environments.

·Automatetheconfigurationmanagementofdevelopment,qualityassurance, and production workloads.

·Design,build,optimize,andmonitorautomationsystemstoidentify bottlenecks and maximize service availability.

·Implementsecuritypracticesthatcomplywithindustrystandardstoprotect the organization’s data and infrastructure.

·Plan,implement,andmonitorsystemsecurityarchitecture,includingthreat and risk assessments.

·Performsecuritychecks,suchasvulnerabilityassessmentsandsystem hardening, and troubleshoot security incidents

· Applysecureconfigurationsandbestpracticeswhenimplementingsecurity controls in infrastructure and applications.

Who You Are

Experience and Skills Needed

·Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering,InformationTechnology,orrelateddisciplines. Passionfor automation, standardization, and best practices in infrastructure and security.

·StrongunderstandingoftheSoftwareDevelopmentLifeCycle(SDLC),Test- Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD).

·Experienceworkingwithhighavailability,highperformance,andhigh-securitymulti-datacentersystemsandhybridcloudenvironments.

·Proficiencyinatleastthreeprogramming/scriptinglanguages(Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go).

·ExperiencewithGitandmodernbranchingworkflows.

·Experiencewithpubliccloudplatforms(AWS,Azure,GoogleCloud).

·Experiencewithautomatedprovisioningtools(Ansible,Terraform,Puppet, Vagrant).

·Hands-onexperiencewithvirtualizationtechnologies(KVM,VMware,Hyper- V).

·Strongunderstandingofcontainertechnologies(Docker,Kubernetes).

·KnowledgeofCloudNativeComputingFoundation(CNCF)tools (Prometheus, Helm, ArgoCD, Istio, Gatekeeper, Crossplane).

·Experiencewithinfrastructuremonitoringandobservabilitytools.

·Strongabilitytotroubleshootcomplexissuesacrosssystemresourcesand application stacks.

·ExperiencewithCI/CDpipelinesandDevOpstools(GitLab,Jenkins, BitBucket, ArgoCD).

·Experiencewithdisasterrecoveryplanning,systembackup,andrestore processes.

·KnowledgeofRPM-basedsoftwarepackaginganddeployment.
