The Role
Your role
Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world’s MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. You’ll be in good company among our global community of experts leading the future of mainframe modernization. Experts who share knowledge openly and collaborate freely.
In this role, you’ll design, build and maintain the high-volume business logic that runs on the mainframe. At the same time you’ll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe’s core data.
What you will do
- Application Modernization: Modernize legacy applications through cloud migration, framework upgrades, API development, and technical debt reduction.
- Java Full Stack Development: Design and develop Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, and React/React Native applications.
- Cloud & Database Engineering: Deploy and support applications on Azure/AWS/GCP with Oracle/PostgreSQL integration and performance optimization.
- DevOps & Automation: Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), security controls, monitoring, and deployment automation.
- AI-Enabled Engineering: Leverage AI assistants and agents across the SDLC while ensuring code quality, security, and compliance.
- Delivery Ownership: Manage end-to-end development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Required skills and experience :-
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, MCA, or related field with 4-8 years of experience in application development, modernization, and Agile/DevOps.
- Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, multithreading, security, and debugging.
- Hands-on experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and exposure to React Native.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), Oracle/PostgreSQL, SQL, schema design, and database performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
- Industry experience in at least two domains: BFSI, Retail, Healthcare, or Manufacturing.
Preferred skills and experience :-
- Experience in enterprise modernization, cloud migration, microservices, API gateways, and managed Kubernetes.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development using tools such as Copilot, Amazon Q, Gemini, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, or Vertex AI.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, agent orchestration, tool calling, grounding, and AI output validation.
- Experience with mobile application releases, multi-cloud environments, automated quality engineering, and database optimization.
- Relevant certifications in Java, Cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, Agile, or AI technologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and customer-centric mindset.
