The Role
We are seeking an IBM MQ Support Analyst with experience in the administration and support of IBM MQ for z/OS in highly critical environments. The professional will be responsible for installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, SSL/TLS security, QSG administration, and incident support. Strong knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SMF, high availability, and disaster recovery practices is required.
Who You Are
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ on z/OS, including installation, configuration, administration, and production support.
- Knowledge of Queue Managers, QSG, Shared Queues, Coupling Facility, channels, queues, and Pub/Sub.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills using logs, traces, dumps, SMF data, and monitoring tools.
- Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, backup/restore, and MQ security, including SSL/TLS, digital certificates, and RACF.
- Solid Mainframe knowledge, including z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SMP/E, REXX, OMVS, VTAM, SNA, and VSAM.
- Experience with monitoring and automation tools such as CA SYSVIEW or equivalent.
- Background supporting mission-critical production environments, incident management, RCA, and preventive improvements.
- CICS TS for z/OS, zHyperWrite, and automation tools are desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
- English proficiency.
