The Lead Analytics Engineer will own setting and driving the road map for Lennar’s 3rd Party data strategy. They will partner across departments and domains to ensure that the 3rd Party data that we purchase both meets the needs of our stakeholders and drives value for our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire analytics function for Lennar's 3rd Party Data, setting strategic direction and priorities.
  • Drive innovation in data engineering and analysis practices, staying ahead of industry trends and technologies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the data product team and senior leadership.
  • Lead the development and execution of the department’s data strategy.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data infrastructure and processes across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Your Toolbox

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 8+ Years of experience in analytics engineering, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Expertise in managing enterprise-level data, including big data platforms and cloud data ecosystems (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
  • Proficient in designing and implementing data strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Mastery of SQL, with experience in database management, optimization, and complex ETL processes.
  • Expertise in Python or R for advanced analytics, including deep learning and AI, with experience in deploying models in production environments.
  • Expert in leading the development of enterprise-wide dashboards and reporting solutions, with an emphasis on user experience and actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in using advanced visualization libraries and tools for bespoke analytics solutions.
  • Expert in data architecture, including designing scalable data infrastructures that integrate multiple data sources (e.g., APIs, data lakes, and warehouses).
  • Proficient in leading data integration projects, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
  • Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, data stewardship, and best practices for data management.
  • Strong experience in leading teams, setting strategic direction, and driving data initiatives that align with business objectives.
  • Expertise in mentoring and developing data teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Keeps abreast of emerging trends in data science, AI, and big data technologies.
  • Proven ability to integrate new technologies and methodologies into existing frameworks to enhance data capabilities.
  • Knowledge of common use cases (e.g., dynamic pricing, prediction, supply chain optimization)
  • 2+ years experience leading data projects, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
