Team/Position Description

We are looking for an experienced Server Side Engineer with a strong background in web server, application server, and platform development. Our team builds and operates a large-scale marketing campaign platform for LINE, serving millions of users in Taiwan and beyond. We are also transforming how we build software - AI-assisted coding is a core part of our daily workflow, and we are actively building an AI-driven SDLC that covers spec writing, implementation, testing, and code review. Responsibilities

• Develop new service components for both the Taiwan and global markets
• Build with AI as a core part of your workflow - using AI coding agents for implementation, testing, and refactoring, while owning the design decisions and quality of the outcome
• Design and build core backend components for our marketing campaign platform, including high-traffic, event-driven services
• Create APIs and services that enable third-party integrations with the LINE platform
• Contribute to our AI-driven SDLC: improving how specs, code generation, automated testing, and AI-assisted code review work together as a development pipeline
• Develop LLM-powered features and internal AI agents (e.g., Spring AI, MCP integrations) that connect AI capabilities with our platform services
• Collaborate closely with our development teams in Tokyo and Seoul to deliver high-quality solutions

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing server-side applications and web services
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex challenges
• Extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Proficiency in both RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools in real development work, with the judgment to review, validate, and take ownership of AI-generated code
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related fields
• Fluent in English (Japanese or Korean proficiency is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building distributed services and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka) and managing large-scale data systems
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI agents (RAG, tool use / MCP, prompt and context engineering)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD practices, and DevOps tools
• Experience improving team development workflows with AI (automated test generation, AI code review, spec-driven development)
• Experience with Scrum and agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web development
