Drupal Developer

We are looking for an experienced Drupal Developer to join a team delivering digital solutions for European Union public-sector projects. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on Drupal expertise with experience working on projects for EU institutions, public-sector organisations, or other highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customise, and maintain Drupal-based websites and digital platforms.
• Implement new features, integrations, and content management solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Work with APIs and external systems to deliver secure and scalable integrations.
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and improve the performance and reliability of existing Drupal solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, business stakeholders, and project teams in an international environment.
• Follow development standards, security practices, testing procedures, and documentation requirements.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Drupal development.
• Experience with modern Drupal versions, preferably Drupal 9/10/11.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience developing Drupal modules, themes, integrations, and APIs.
• Good understanding of web architecture, REST APIs, and database technologies.
• Experience working in Agile/international development teams.
• Good command of English.

EU / Public Sector Experience

• Previous experience delivering projects for EU institutions, European public-sector organisations, government bodies, or international organisations is highly desirable.
• Understanding of public-sector project environments, security requirements, accessibility, governance, and compliance would be an advantage.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Symfony, Composer, Git, CI/CD, and Docker.
• Knowledge of Drupal migration and upgrade projects.
• Experience with cloud environments.
• Familiarity with WCAG/accessibility standards and secure software development practices.
