Senior Java Developer

The successful candidate will play an important role in developing and delivering highly visible solutions, with primary responsibility for software development activities.

The role requires ownership, accountability, and responsibility for assigned deliveries, as well as close collaboration with team members and stakeholders to design and implement strategic solutions.

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic global environment, collaborating with developers, project managers, business stakeholders, and technical experts across multiple locations.

General Skills:

• Experienced software developer with proven experience in end-to-end design, development, and support of large-scale data processing systems built on RDBMS technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevOps principles.
• Ability to independently drive requirements analysis and development activities in collaboration with business and technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a distributed, international team environment.
• 7 years of experience minimum

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong Java development experience (essential), including advanced knowledge of multi-threading concepts.
• Experience with technologies such as PostgreSQL and Kafka is an advantage.
• Background in Oracle PL/SQL development and SQL tuning is a plus.
• Experience with scripting in Linux shell and/or Python is a plus.
• Development experience with functional programming languages, such as Haskell, is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new features and enhance existing functionality.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis through implementation, testing, and production release.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes, system performance, and overall solution quality.
