Intermediate Accountant

Join our team as an Intermediate Accountant, where you will play a crucial role in the reconciliation and remittance of tax and royalty/license accounts, as well as the reconciliation of multiple bank accounts and company credit cards across several business entities. You will work in a high-volume environment, preparing journal entries, filing statutory tax slips, and creating AR invoices. Additionally, you will support month-end and quarter-end close procedures, assist with audit requests, and identify process improvements. Missions

• Reconciliation and remittance of tax and royalty/license accounts, as well as the reconciliation of multiple bank accounts and company credit cards.
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly tax reconciliations and remittances for several business entities, and filing year-end T4A-NR slips.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close procedures, including variance analysis, and assist with audit requests.

Profil recherché

- Strong analytical skills and very detail oriented

- Able to clearly and concisely present, both visually and verbally, complicated reconciliation data

- 2+ years tax preparation, tax reconciliation, bank reconciliation, or general ledger reconciliation experience

- Working towards or completion of a CPA designation an asset

- Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred

- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Familiarity with Canadian indirect tax (GST/PST) and non-resident withholding tax rules

- Experience with reconciliation software an asset

- Strong organizational & time management abilities
