Senior Full Stack Engineer (f/m/x)

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help shape the next stage of SurfaceScout, one of LiveEO's core products. SurfaceScout turns satellite data into reliable, actionable insights for the operators of critical infrastructure. You'll take ownership of significant parts of the SurfaceScout application, from the user-facing experience to the services and data flows behind it, and help evolve it into an even more scalable and reliable product. This is a high-ownership role on an established, fast-growing product: part hands-on engineering, part systems design, part technical leadership within the squad. You'll work across the full product lifecycle, from shaping and building new features, to strengthening the architecture and engineering practices that support long-term growth, using a modern TypeScript and Python stack.

Your challenge

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on the SurfaceScout squad, you'll take ownership of significant parts of a live, growing product, turning ideas into reliable production systems and strengthening the architecture that supports long-term growth.

Core responsibilities include:

• Design and build features end to end (TypeScript & Python), translating product requirements into reliable, well-tested systems that ship to customers.
• Define and implement integrations with LiveEO's platform and data services, ensuring clean interfaces, reliable data flows, and extensibility for future development.
• Collaborate across teams to reuse and adapt shared components, aligning on architecture, APIs, and engineering standards across products.
• Own key architectural decisions (service boundaries, data models, deployment patterns), balancing speed of delivery with long-term maintainability and reliability.
• Iterate quickly on feedback from product, customers, and stakeholders, evolving features into robust, production-grade solutions.
• Raise the bar for the squad: mentor teammates, review code, and help shape technical direction as a senior voice on the team.
• Champion engineering best practices (code quality, documentation, testing, observability), keeping the codebase healthy as the product scales.
• Contribute across the stack, from backend services and APIs to frontend interfaces, delivering a cohesive and usable end-to-end experience.

Your profile

• Strong engineering fundamentals in TypeScript and Python, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
• Several years building and shipping full stack applications in production, including backend services, APIs, and modern frontend interfaces.
• Proven ability to own features end to end and deliver them reliably, translating product requirements into robust, production-grade solutions.
• Experience designing and implementing integrations between systems (APIs, data pipelines, third-party services).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and deploying and operating scalable services.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and system design, with the ability to make pragmatic trade-offs.
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments and aligning with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring engineers or setting technical direction within a team.
