Full Stack Software Engineer - Clearance Required
Overview
We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer with expertise across the frontend (React, TypeScript, CSS, HTML) and backend (Node.js, Express.js, OpenAPI, relational databases) stack to join our app team. Working closely with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers, you'll iterate quickly on features, improve performance, and build out a secure, scalable platform for real-world military and government users. This role focuses on hands-on coding and software design, spanning everything from UI workflows to API development to database architecture.This role requires an active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Write quality software, participate in code reviews, and help develop best practices and documentation.
- Support full-stack systems design decisions involving API architecture, data models, and UI component structure.
- Embrace AI-drive development, building the guardrails, validation layers, end-to-end tests, and supporting systems that keep AI-assisted output safe, reliable, and production-grade.
- Build intuitive, responsive front-end experiences using React and modern component libraries, translating requirements into clean, reusable UI components.
- Write clean, secure back-end services using Express.js, with a focus on REST APIs, modular design, and Prisma ORM.
- Collaborate across design, product, DevSecOps, and field teams to launch features quickly and securely.
- Support automated testing and code quality gates by writing and reviewing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Troubleshoot bugs, squash performance bottlenecks, and build for IL6 deployment requirements.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in full stack software development.
- Experience using AI-enabled development tools to rapidly ship software.
- Strong frontend skills: React (component design, hooks, modern front-end patterns), JavaScript/TypeScript, and a solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
- Strong backend skills: Express.JS, with hands-on experience with Prisma ORM and relational databases, plus a solid understanding of SQL, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience with testing tools across the stack (e.g., Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress) and a track record of building automated validation and end-to-end testing into delivery.
- Familiarity with secure software development practices and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc).
- Comfortable with Agile/Lean, rapid delivery cycles, and direct user feedback loops.
Bonus Points For:
- Hands-on work with secure government environments (DoD, IL5+, FedRAMP).
- Experience building geospatial applications.
- Certifications like Security+ and AWS Developer/Architect.
- Past experience at a startup or in rapid-growth teams.
The target salary range for this position is $111426.84 - $192890.16.The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
