Standard Job Description
This position is for a software engineer working in MFC’s Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system as well as other connected systems/applications. This role will focus on developing software code and automations to support continuous integration and other development efforts. Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications
- Software Development experience with PLM Windchill, Thingworx
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
- Knowledge of Gitlab, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence
- Proficient on Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- Development experience in Java, Python, C++
- Proven experience with writing technical documentation
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

Desired Skills
- Experience with REST APIs, including development and maintenance
- Experience with IT configuration, including setup and maintenance of applications
- Strong knowledge of relational databases including scripting
- Experience with integrating PLM with other enterprise systems such as ERP and MES
- Experience working with 1LMX initiatives
- Experience with the MFC organization

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $122600.00 - $227600.00

- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $110300.00 - $204900.00
