Job Summary

The Electrical Apprenticeship Program Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for Loenbro employees enrolled in IEC electrical apprenticeship programs. This role is responsible for coordinating student enrollment, monitoring apprentice progress, maintaining training records, supporting compliance requirements, and collaborating with field leadership to ensure apprentices receive the guidance and support needed to succeed.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Program Administration

  • Coordinate registration and enrollment for electrical apprentices in IEC programs.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between apprentices, instructors, IEC representatives, supervisors, and company leadership.
  • Track apprentice attendance, grades, progression, and completion requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized apprenticeship records and documentation.
  • Monitor apprentices' advancement through each year of training.

Apprentice Support & Engagement

  • Conduct regular outreach and follow-up with apprentices.
  • Assist apprentices in understanding classroom and on-the-job learning requirements.
  • Support apprentice retention and successful program completion.
  • Coordinate apprentice recognition and milestone achievement programs.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Track classroom training hours and apprenticeship documentation.
  • Ensure records meet company, state, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports and workforce development metrics for leadership.
  • Support audits and documentation requests as needed.

Collaboration with Operations

  • Work closely with project managers, foremen, superintendents, and supervisors to support apprentice development.
  • Coordinate apprentice placement and progression within operational teams.
  • Assist recruiting and workforce planning efforts related to electrical apprenticeships.
  • Support mentorship initiatives that strengthen apprentice success in the field.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve apprentice engagement and program effectiveness.
  • Assist in developing workforce development strategies and training initiatives.
  • Support implementation of best practices for apprenticeship administration and talent development.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in workforce development, training coordination, apprenticeship administration, education, human resources, or construction operations.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
