Founding Business Development Representative

Loora is on a mission to revolutionize education and break down language barriers with its cutting-edge AI, building the first-ever personal AI English tutor. Loora offers its users an AI tutor that is always available to talk about whatever they want, give immediate feedback on English skills, and guide them on their journey to fluency.

We’re looking for a Founding Business Development Representative to build Loora’s outbound motion from the ground up.

This is a high-impact opportunity to define our target market, identify and engage enterprise prospects, develop messaging and outbound playbooks, and create the pipeline that will fuel Loora’s next stage of B2B growth.

You’ll work closely with the B2B sales and leadership team, with significant ownership over how we approach the market. This role is ideal for a true outbound hunter who enjoys opening doors, experimenting with messaging, and turning data and market feedback into a repeatable sales motion.

What You’ll Do

• Identify, research, and prioritize high-potential enterprise accounts across key markets and industries.

• Build and maintain target account lists and map key decision-makers and stakeholders within each account.

• Execute highly personalized, multi-channel outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn, phone, and other channels.

• Develop and continuously optimize messaging, sequences, and cadences based on results.

• Engage prospects to uncover business needs, pain points, and potential use cases for Loora.

• Qualify prospects based on ICP fit, business need, relevant stakeholders, and timing, and book qualified discovery meetings with the AE.

• Maintain accurate CRM data and manage outbound workflows in HubSpot and other sales tools.

• Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product to share market insights and improve messaging and positioning.

• Track activity, conversion, and pipeline metrics and use data to continuously improve performance.

• Help build Loora’s outbound playbook, including ICP definition, messaging, qualification criteria, sequences, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• 2-5 years of experience in SDR, BDR, Business Development, or a similar customer-facing role, preferably in B2B SaaS.

• Proven success generating qualified meetings and pipeline through outbound prospecting.

• Native or near-native English proficiency.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication is essential.

• A true hunter mentality -persistent, curious, proactive, and motivated by opening new doors.

• Strong ability to research accounts and personalize outreach based on business context.

• Comfortable using data to prioritize accounts, test messaging, and improve conversion.

• Experience with outbound and sales technology such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Apollo, Outreach, Lusha, or similar tools.

• Comfortable using AI tools to improve research, personalization, and sales productivity.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with a high degree of ownership and ambiguity.

• Genuine interest in AI, EdTech, and the future of workplace learning.

• Additional languages such as Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, or Italian are a strong advantage.

• Experience mentoring or leading BDRs is a plus.
